Harvest 2020

As with most things, our Harvest Thanksgiving will be slightly different this year. We will have a special Eucharist service of Thanksgiving at our normal service times on Sunday 27 September, however there can not be any congregational singing and our harvest gifts will not be brought up to the altar as they would normally.

This year we are donating all Harvest gifts to the Daylight Centre. We ask that you bring non-perishable goods to church on 27 September. If you would like to make a coin donation, please tape the coin to the packaging. There will be a container at the back of church for people to place their donations in as they come into church.

These are items requested by the Daylight Centre Foodbank:

·         Non-perishable foodstuffs including:

·         Anything that comes in a can or jar.

·         Everything a home cook has in their cupboard such as custard powder and gravy granules or salt and pepper.

·         All basic staple foodstuffs such as rice and sugar or tea and coffee.

·         Anything that’s good for a family with young children such as cereals and squash for food parcels for families.

·         Everything that you might choose to eat if you didn’t have access to cooking facilities such as biscuits and instant noodles or anything in a ring-pull can.

·         Bottled water.

All donations are very, very gratefully received as the Foodbank tries to feed the hungry of our town.

Midweek services

As the Local Government Guidelines have been revised to prevent a local lockdown, we have to postpone the restart of our midweek Holy Communion services. We will look again in October. In the meantime, the churches continue to be open for private prayer: All Hallows on Wednesdays and Saturdays 10:30-12:00, and All Saints on Thursdays 10:00-12:00.
Ride and Stride
to raise funds for All Hallows & All Saints

Northamptonshire Historic Churches Trust's annual Ride and Stride will be held on Sat 12 Sept this year and both of our churches  will again be participating. We are hoping to keep the churches open 10:00-16:00 to visitors, but this will be dependent on Covid-19 regulations in force at that time.

Please think about sponsored riding or striding. We will receive half of the funds we raise.

For further information or to offer your support, please contact Christine T. for All Hallows (allhallowspccsec@btinternet.com or 01933 401596), or Bob A. for All Saints (01933 383316).
COVID-19 testing

A COVID-19 testing station operates in Market Square, Wellingborough, as the number of our cases has risen above the national rate, and we are risking a local lockdown.

Rest in peaceCross

We remember those who died recently, among them Doreen Adams.

Doreen was a long standing member of All Saints, housebound in her later years. We hope to be able to inform you about her funeral in due time.
