Benefice Newsletter 26 November 2020 |
A message from Rev Paula The news about the easing of lockdown is being drip-fed to us I write. I believe that we will be able to meet for worship in church from 2 December, which means the Midweek Communion Services will recommence from that date, beginning with All Hallows at 12.15pm on that Wednesday. I wonder if you have been engaging with the prayer at 6pm (or as Margaret suggested, any other suitable time)? Prayer is key to our lives together as Christians and while we can pray on our own, it is good to pray together when and how we can. Being together encourages us all so if you haven't already, please do sign up for our Advent Course which starts this Thursday (see below). This Sunday marks the start of Advent, we will (technology allowing) be singing O Come, O Come Emmanuel as we begin this season of preparation. May our prayer be to welcome afresh God with us, Emmanuel into our hearts, our homes and our churches over the coming weeks. |
