All Saints’ Pet Service . 1st October 2017.
The annual pet service was held at All Saints’ church on Creation Sunday.
We were pleased to welcome the mayor of Wellingborough, Councillor Paul Bell and his wife Caroline to the service .
What a joy to see so many pets and their owners . There was a great variety of ‘creatures’, both great and small. This year we had not only the usual dogs but also a cat, hamsters , and a ferret .
The speaker was Mrs Angela Doughty representing Riding for the Disabled. Angela also brought two young men who helped her with the PowerPoint presentation. The organisation does such good work raising the esteem of its’ young riders . Thank you , Angela and to your dedicated volunteers.
The collection at the end of the service was donated to Riding for the Disabled.
